The United Church and Faith & the Common Good: Greening Sacred Spaces invite you to have a green audit of your building. Your faith community has the opportunity to receive funding from the Mission Support Capital Assistance Fund towards the cost of a Green Audit on your place of worship. Through this fund, GSS will conduct 100 Green Audits across Canada between June of 2011 and May of 2012. This program reinforces the United Church’s commitment to fighting climate change and seeking a sustainable future by assisting congregations in lowering their energy expenditures and creating a healthier, more ecologically sustainable building.

His dream is for this to become a gathering place for a big conversation about evolutionary Christian mysticism, along with the practices, programs, and processes that are aligned with it. For too long science and Christianity have been pitted against each other. The debate has been framed by militant atheists on the one hand, and creationists on the other. Yet, we know empirically that the vast majority of Christians occupy the middle ground, accepting evolution as the way of the cosmos.
